Early Risers to meet Wednesday The Fairmont Early Risers Kiwanis will meet for breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 27, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The Kindness Club will be the featured speakers at their special Thanksgiving meeting. Indoor Wiffleball League at FES This Indoor Wiffleball League will be played from 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesdays, Dec. 4, 11, 18, Jan. 8, 15, and 22. in the Five Lakes Gym at the Elementary School. This program is for children in Grades 4 to 6. Participants will split into teams on the first night. Participants can pitch crazy curveballs, and batters can swing away with a homerun fence added in the gym. CREST to host vision loss support session CREST is holding a Low Vision Support Group that provides reassurance and assistance to people with vision-related problems. You are free to share what’s bothering you and learn about ways to combat and live with low vision. Working together can make lives much brighter. Tea Party at Chubb House Saturday The Chubb House in Fairmont will host its Annual Holiday Tea from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23. Guests may indulge in teacups, tea sandwiches, and a delicious array of tasty treats in an 1867 historical setting, Fairmont's oldest surviving brick house. A free-will donation with matching funds will be taken to support the maintenance and upkeep of the historic house. There is no cost to attend and pre-registration is not required.
