CER Aging Well

A workshop for aging well will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 13, on Zoom. The class will discuss simple steps to help make every system in your body as healthy as possible. CER Estate Planning

An estate planning workshop will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, in Room 1017/Budd Room at Fairmont Elementary School. This workshop will explain common estate planning tools, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and health care directives, and will address frequent planning mistakes involving probate, beneficiary designations, incapacity, long-term care, and family decision-making. Attendees will learn practical considerations for reviewing an existing plan or thinking through a new one. OctoberFest in Trimont

OctoberFest will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 11, at the Trimont Town Center. Activities include bounce houses, a petting zoo, pumpkin painting (one free pumpkin per child), pumpkin bowling, yard games, face painting, a photo booth, and vendors including O'Scoops, Milk and Honey Coffee, Ole's Smoked Turkey Legs, Cosmic Creations Popcorn, JBloom Permanent Jewelry, Country Wildflower and more. PSQG to meet

The Prairie Star Quilt Guild (PSQG) will meet at 1 p.m. (12:15 p.m. for quilt board) on Monday, Oct. 12, at the Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church. A Trunk Show will be presented by Country Classic Quilting Designer and Master Quilter Tom Maidl. Maidl is an acclaimed quilter and has won many awards. All are welcome to attend.
