Kiwanis Club to meet

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet for breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 7, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The meeting's speakers will be Fairmont Ward 1 Candidate Jay Maynard, Ward 3 Candidate Hollee Klesh and Mayor Candidate Nathaniel Landsteiner. The candidates will introduce themselves for 10 minutes each. The Fairmont Early Risers Kiwanis Club invites all political candidates to speak at one of its Wednesday meetings. The club will give a fair opportunity for all candidates to speak. The club will remain nonpartisan and will avoid endorsing any candidates. Candidates can use this forum for informational purposes only and cannot use it as a fundraiser. All are welcome to attend.

MCHS open hours

The Martin County Humane Society/Carl Nettifee Memorial Animal Shelter (MCHS) in Fairmont will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. To view adoptable pets and additional information, visit mchsofmn.org or contact the MCHS at (507) 238-1885.

Karaoke in Fairmont

Karaoke will be from 7 to 11 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3394 in Fairmont, and from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 9, at Silo’67 in Fairmont.

Fairmont Farmers Market
