Shepherd of the Lakes worship
Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church will have an outdoor worship service at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, at Sylvania Park in Fairmont. Worship the Savior and enjoy Christian fellowship with a potluck picnic and games following the service. If there is inclement weather, the service will be held in the Sylvania Park shelterhouse. All are welcome to attend.
Fairmont Farmers Market

Visit Fairmont Summer Photo Contest
Visit Fairmont is accepting photo submissions for its Summer Photo Contest until Monday, Aug. 31. Photos must have been captured within the past two years and within Martin County. Participants of all photography skill levels can submit up to 10 photos. To submit, e-mail the photo(s) to director@visitfairmontmn.com and include the photographer's/participant's name and phone number. Participants will receive an e-mail confirmation that their submission(s) have been received. If the photos include recognizable faces, a release form must be completed. Submission(s) may be used in promotional/marketing content by Visit Fairmont. The winner will receive a wooden map of Fairmont's five lakes by Fox Lake Furniture.
