Fairmont Service Club to meet
The Fairmont Service Club will meet at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Best Western in Fairmont. The meeting's speakers will be Sarah Caballers and Carolyn Macort, who will speak about home health. All are welcome to attend.
Community Worship in the Park
Grace Lutheran Church will host Wednesday Community Worship in the Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the Sylvania Park Bandshell in Fairmont. There will be messages from community members and pastors. All are welcome to attend.
Fairmont library Books and Brews

General Knowledge Trivia

Martin Co. Fair Wristband Night
Wristband Night is Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the Martin County Fair. Buildings are open from noon to 9 p.m. Midway opens at 3 p.m. Unlimited rides cost $27 and are valid from 5 to 10 p.m. 4-H swine show will be at 8 a.m. at the swine barn, feedlot market cattle check-in will be from 8 to 10 a.m., mounted horse obstacle challenge will be from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Kietzer Arena, feedlot market cattle show will be at 11 a.m. at the livestock arena, 4-H rabbit show will be at 12:30 p.m. at the Bank Midwest building, 4-H poultry show will be at 2 p.m. at the poultry/rabbit barn, Timberworks LumberJack Show will be at 4, 6 and 8 p.m., FFA activities will be from 4 to 7 p.m. in the grain bin, ranch rodeo will be at 5 p.m., the 28th annual Martin County Blue Ribbon Pork Cook-off will be from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Martin County Arena, Farm Family of the Year recognition will be at 6:30 p.m. in the park and Johnny Holmes will perform at 7:30 p.m.
