Fairmont Service Club to meet
Fairmont Service Club will meet at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at Best Western in Fairmont. The meeting's speaker will be Leticia Cordova of the Empower Coalition. All are welcome to attend.
Fairmont library Chair Fitness

Fairmont Cancer Support Group
Mayo Clinic Health System cancer support group will meet from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at the Lutz Cancer Center. This is for people who have received a cancer diagnosis in their lives. Caregivers are welcome to attend. The meeting's speaker will be Jenna Ziegler, who will discuss Clinical Trials.
Fairmont Night Out
Fairmont Police Department will host Fairmont Night Out from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at the Fairmont Aquatic Park. Pork chop on a stick, pork patty, chips, cookies and water (provided by Culligan, HyVee and Martin County Pork Producers) will be served. Open swim will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Police, ambulance and fire department vehicles will be on display.
Library Palooza
Library Palooza will be from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Activities include Sugar Scrubs and Sensory Hour at 10 a.m., Balloons by Kevin from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Musical Storytime with Will Bjorndal and Friendship Bracelets at 11 a.m., food trucks (Cheezers, Sip Haus, B-Lo Zero Sno Cones, Mini Donuts and Pizza Ranch) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Summer Symphony and Popcorn Party at noon, Henna Tattoos by Kandice from 1 to 4 p.m., Puzzle Party at 1 p.m., Musical Masterpieces and Button Maker at 2 p.m. and carnival games at 3 p.m. For additional information, contact the Martin County Library at (507) 238-4207.
Wednesday Community Worship
Grace Lutheran Church will host Wednesday Community Worship in the Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5, at the Sylvania Park Bandshell in Fairmont. There will be messages from community members and pastors. O'Scoops will serve ice cream. All are welcome to attend.
Chubb House open
The historic Chubb House will be open for coffee time from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5. Visit to learn more about this historic home and the man who had it built in 1867 for his family, Dr. Orville P. Chubb.
