Kiwanis to meet

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet for breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The group will discuss future club activities to support the Kiwanis mission of improving the world, one child and one community at a time. All are welcome to attend.

UCC free community meal

First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fairmont will host a free community meal at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29. The Facilities Board will serve hot dogs, beans, chips, cookies and beverages. All are welcome to attend.

W'bago library Lego Club

Lego Club drop-in event for ages 5 to 12 will be from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, at the Muir Library in Winnebago. For additional information, contact the Muir Library at (507) 893-3196.

Armstrong, Iowa Community/Family BBQ

Community and Family Barbecue will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, July 31, in the east parking lot at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong, Iowa. Burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, chips, cookies and refreshments will be served. Steve Lang will perform live music. All are welcome to attend.

Galaxy VBS

Christian Church of Fairmont will host Galaxy VBS, a free community event for children entering kindergarten to grade 6, at 5:30 p.m. (dinner included) on Friday, July 31, and at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1. MCHS open hours

The Martin County Humane Society/Carl Nettifee Memorial Animal Shelter (MCHS) in Fairmont will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. To view adoptable pets and additional information, visit mchsofmn.org or contact the MCHS at (507) 238-1885.
