Fairmont Service Club to meet

Fairmont Service Club will meet at noon on Tuesday, July 28, at Best Western in Fairmont. The meeting's speakers will be Fairmont High School Speech Team members. All are welcome to attend.

Wednesday Community Worship

Grace Lutheran Church will host Wednesday Community Worship in the Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, at the Sylvania Park Bandshell in Fairmont. There will be messages from community members and pastors. All are welcome to attend.

Household Hazardous Waste Collection

Prairieland Solid Waste Management (PSWM) in Truman will have a Household Hazardous Waste Collection for Martin and Faribault County residents from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29. Paint, aerosols, cleaners, lawn/garden products, used gas and oil and more will be accepted. For additional information, contact PSWM at (507) 776-3232.

Annie

Fairmont Opera House (FOH) Fairmont Area Community Theater (FACT) will perform its 2026 summer musical, “Annie,” at 1 and 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, and at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 28, Wednesday, July 29, Thursday, July 30 and Friday, July 31, at the Fairmont High School Performing Arts Center. The story follows Annie, who escapes an orphanage and is chosen to spend the Christmas holiday with billionaire Oliver Warbucks. Wizard of Oz

Blue Earth Town and Country Players will perform its 2026 summer musical, “The Wizard of Oz,” at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, and Sunday, July 26, at the Blue Earth Area High School Performing Arts Center. Doors open 30 minutes before showtimes. The story follows Dorothy Gale, her dog Toto, Scarecrow, Tin Man and Cowardly Lion on their way to Emerald City. Tickets cost $15 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under.
