Church on the Lawn

Church on the Lawn services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 5, at the East Chain Evangelical Free Church. The speaker will be Josh Johanson. The service includes live band worship, Bible teaching and children’s programs. Donuts and coffee will be served at 10 a.m. Bring a lawn chair and a friend. Selma Bleess, of Fairmont, has been named to the Spring 2026 President’s List at Bemidji State University in Bemidji.

Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa, has received a $1,000 Tourism Grant from the Estherville Area Chamber of Commerce to support the 2026-27 Performing Arts Series at the Janice K. Lund Performing Arts Center. The grant, funded through Estherville lodging tax dollars, will help offset lodging expenses for visiting artists and production personnel participating in the six-event series.
