Fairmont Service Club

The Fairmont Service Club will meet at noon on Tuesday, June 30, at Best Western in Fairmont. The meeting’s speaker will be Ashley and Kory Brown of Midwest Valley Home Care. All are welcome.

Fairmont City Band to perform

Fairmont City Band will have its fourth rehearsal from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and a free concert from 8 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, at the Sylvania Park Bandshell in Fairmont. Intermission entertainment will be provided by Fr. Tim Welch from St. John Vianney Church, who will perform a novelty number based on “The Typewriter” composed by LeRoy Anderson. Concessions will be available and will support Interlaken Heritage Days. Cancellations will be posted on the “Fairmont City Band” Facebook page. MCHS open hours

The Martin County Humane Society (MCHS) Carl Nettifee Memorial Animal Shelter in Fairmont will be open from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays. To view adoptable pets and additional information, visit mchsofmn.org or contact the MCHS at (507) 238-1885.

Community Impact Relay for Life

A Community Impact Fundraising Event for Relay for Life of Martin County will be at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, June 30, at Pizza Ranch in Fairmont. A percentage of sales and 100 percent of donations will support Relay for Life of Martin County.

Chubb House closed

The historical Chubb House in Fairmont will be closed on Wednesday, July 1. The next Coffee Time event will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 5. For additional information and to arrange tours, call (507) 235-9262.

City of Lakes Garden Club to meet

The City of Lakes Garden Club will meet at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, at 1332 Holland Street in Fairmont. There will be a business meeting followed by an informative report on “Cinnamon: Why It’s Good or Bad”, given by the host. Gardeners of all skill levels, visitors and new members are welcome. Fairmont library America 250 crafts

Household Hazardous Waste Collection

Prairieland Solid Waste Management (PSWM) in Truman will have a Household Hazardous Waste Collection for Martin and Faribault County residents from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1.
