American Legion to place flags

The American Legion Post 36 in Fairmont is accepting volunteers to put flags on veterans’ graves at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 21, at Lakeside Cemetery in Fairmont. Fairmont Shred Day

Fairmont Shred Day will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, May 22, at Profinium Bank in Fairmont. The limit is four bags per vehicle. Glossy paper (excluding wax-coated paper), cardstock-weight paper, folders and staples will be accepted. Cardboard, paper clips and corrugated materials will not be accepted. Participants must stay in their vehicle at all times and place items to be shredded in the vehicle’s trunk for a team member to remove and shred. Puzzle Race at Analog Games

A Puzzle Race will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, at Analog Games in Fairmont. Participants will complete a 500-piece puzzle in teams of four individuals. Participants can bring the puzzle home once complete. Registration is required, costs $20 per team, and can be completed by visiting Analog Games or contacting Analog Games at (507) 410-4500 or the Facebook page, “Analog Games”. Fifty percent of registration fees will be awarded to first-place participants. The event allows eight total teams.

Cletus Goblirsch to perform at Ingleside

World Concertina Congress Hall of Fame musician Cletus Goblirsch of New Ulm will perform at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 22, in the Ingleside Senior Living Activities Room in Fairmont.

Lake Belt cornhole tournanment

A cornhole tournament will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 23, at the Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. Prizes will be awarded to the winning teams. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. Registration is required, costs $40 per team and can be completed by visiting the Lake Belt Bar and Grill, or contacting the Lake Belt Bar and Grill at (507) 632-4696 or the Facebook page, “Lake Belt Bar and Grill.” There will be a 100 percent payout.
