TPS Prom
Truman Public School (TPS) will have its Prom, “Classic Hollywood” at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 6 p.m., tonight, Saturday, May 9, in the TPS gymnasium. Free-will donations will be accepted. For additional information, contact TPS at (507) 776-2111.
Area blood drives
American Red Cross blood drives will be from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Monday, May 11, at Presbyterian Church in Amboy, from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, at Blue Earth Area Youth for Christ, The Refuge center and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 15, at Mayo Clinic Health Systems in Fairmont. Sign Language Basics at Fmt Library
Sign Language Basics will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Led by presenter Donna Johnson, this beginner-level class will focus on the ASL alphabet and everyday vocabulary. For additional information, contact the Martin County Library at (507) 238-4207.
Empower hosts Changing the Narrative
Empower Coalition will host a free, interactive training event, Changing the Narrative on Suicide and Mental Health, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13, in Room 112 of the Southern Minnesota Educational Campus in Fairmont. Aktion Club Theatre to meet

A posture and osteoporosis risk-reduction workshop will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, on Zoom. Participants will need loose, comfortable clothing and a resistance band or tube.
