Lake Belt ATV/Bike Night

Fairmont Women of Today for movie
Fairmont Women of Today will host a movie night and watch “The Devil Wears Prada 2” at 6:50 p.m. on Monday, May 4, at Fairmont 5 Theatres. Fairmont Safe Routes To School
Fairmont Safe Routes to School (SRTS) will be on Tuesday, May 5. SRTS provides four safe routes for children to get active by walking and biking to school one day a week during the fall and spring. Walkers and bikers are brought to their respective schools by crosswalk guards and adult volunteers along safe routes. The chaperoned routes will begin at the following locations: Route 1, Corner of Day Street and South Orient at 7:45 a.m., Route 2 at the Fairmont Aquatic Park at 7:30 a.m., Route 3 at St Paul Lutheran School Playground at 7:40 a.m., and Route 4 at Grace Lutheran Church at 7:30 a.m. The beginning locations of each route are also designated SRTS Safe Zones. Parents are encouraged to use the drop points to promote walking for fitness and avoid the congestion at Fairmont Elementary School (FES). For additional information, contact CER at (507) 235-3141.
Fairmont Service Club to meet
The Fairmont Service Club will meet at noon on Tuesday, May 5, at the Best Western hotel in Fairmont. The meeting’s speaker will be Rich Bradley, who will speak about the Gulf Oil Spill. All are welcome to attend.
American Legion to meet
The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 36 will meet at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, at 300 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. All interested individuals are encouraged to attend.
People First to meet

Sign Language Basics at Fmt Library
Sign Language Basics will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, May 5, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Led by presenter Donna Johnson, this beginner-level class will focus on the ASL alphabet and everyday vocabulary. For additional information, contact the Martin County Library at (507) 238-4207.
