Fairmont Service Club to meet

The Fairmont Service Club will meet at noon on Tuesday, April 21, at Best Western in Fairmont. The meeting’s speakers will be members of the Fairmont High School Robotics Team. All are welcome to attend.

Kiwanis Baseball registration

Kiwanis Baseball registration will be from 6:30 to 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, at the Fairmont Elementary School (FES) cafeteria. Kiwanis Baseball is an instructional program for children entering grades 1 to 4. Bring a signed form, $35 for the first child and $30 for any additional child. Checks can be made payable to Fairmont Kiwanis Early Risers. If unable to attend the registration, mail or bring the form to the Fairmont Community Education and Recreation (CER) office before May 1. A $10 late fee will be applied after May 5. Coaches will meet on May 6 at FES. Practice will begin on May 12. League play begins on May 26. The season ends on July 9. Practices and games will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays at FES baseball fields. For additional information, contact Kiwanis Baseball Director Taylor Nawrocki at (507) 848-0678.

Pizza and Preplanning at Sinn

The Sinn Family Celebration of Life Center in Trimont will host a Pizza and Preplanning event at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 23. Local experts (lawyer, funeral director, preplanning specialists and financial advisor) will cover legal documents, Medicaid planning, funeral preplanning, cremation options, monuments and how to lock in today’s prices in one evening, with no pressure, over pizza from Green Mill.
