Area strawberry sales
The Fruit Truck will sell sun-ripened fresh Florida strawberries ($30 for an eight-pound box), Elliot pecans ($15 for a 12-ounce bag) and South Dakota honey ($15 for a jar) from 3 to 3:15 p.m. on Friday, March 20, at VFW Post 3388 in Estherville, Iowa, from 2 to 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Welcome, from 4 to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at Anderson Park in Trimont, from 2:30 to 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, at TJD Repair and Service in Blue Earth and from 3:15 to 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, at Live Fit Sport and Wellness Center in Fairmont. Cash or card will be accepted. Pre-payment is not available. The items are first-come, first-served.
Tacky T-Shirt Bingo
Frost Fest Tacky T-Shirt Bingo will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at Julie’s Bar and Grill in Frost. 10 games will be played. There will be a 50/50 payout.
SMDU 41st annual banquet
Southern Minnesota Ducks Unlimited’s 41st annual banquet will be at 5 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at Fox Lake Event Center in Sherburn. Tickets can be purchased by visiting www.mndu.org.
Ice cream at Trinity Lutheran
A homemade ice cream event will be from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alpha. The menu includes chicken dumpling soup, vegetable beef soup, chicken wild rice soup, chili, ham sandwiches, cookies, bars and various toppings to make a homemade ice cream sundae. A free-will donation is encouraged and will benefit local charities.
Lake Belt cornhole tournament
A cornhole tournament will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 22, at Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon. Prizes will be awarded to the top teams. Food and drinks will be available. There will be a 100 percent payout. Registration is required, costs $40 per team, and can be completed by contacting the Lake Belt Bar and Grill at (507) 632-4696.

Payten Benda of Alpha graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from SDSU’s College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences. Merissa Cartwright of Granada graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from SDSU’s College of Nursing. Grace Bicknase of Welcome graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science from SDSU’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
