Chicken dinner postponed

On account of inclement weather, the Lewisville Legion Auxiliary has postponed the chicken dinner (originally planned for Sunday, March 15) to be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 22.

On account of inclement weather, St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont has cancelled the Hope Café free meal on Sunday, March 15.

Play Café brewing at Fmt library

Chair Fitness for adults will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 17, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. A variety of 30-minute chair workouts will be shown. Equipment is not required. Fairmont Service Club to meet

Fairmont Service Club will meet at noon on Tuesday, March 17, at the Best Western hotel in Fairmont. The meeting’s speaker will be Tammy from Shoe Merchants, a new business in downtown Fairmont. All are welcome to attend.

FES kindergarten open house

The Fairmont Elementary School (FES) Kindergarten Round Up open house will be from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, at FES. Families can ask questions, meet kindergarten teachers and participate in activities. Kinder Prep will be from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. July 20 to July 24. Families may stay for the EC Family Fun Night Open House from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

FHS Robotics open house

The Fairmont High School (FHS) Robotics Team, The Megahertz, will host an open house from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, in the Robotics Shop at FHS. All are welcome to meet the team and see the 2026 competition robot.

St. Patrick’s Day Party at FBC

A St. Patrick’s Day Party will be from 3 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, at Fairmont Brewing Co. Dress in green and celebrate.
