Fairmont Service Club to meet

The Fairmont Service Club will meet at noon on Tuesday, March 3, at the Best Western hotel in Fairmont. The meeting’s speakers will be Amber Patten and Celia Viesselman of the Fairmont Economic Development Authority (EDA). All are welcome to attend.

Fairmont American Legion to meet

The Fairmont American Legion Auxiliary Unit 36 will meet at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, at 300 Downtown Plaza. All are welcome to attend.

Fairmont Cancer Support Group to meet

The Lutz Cancer Center in Fairmont will offer a Cancer Support Group from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont. The support group is for individuals who have received a cancer diagnosis in their lives. The support group offers compassionate, cancer-related education and support provided by various guest speakers. Attendees may share experiences and learn about coping with the challenges of cancer. Caregivers are welcome to attend.

FHS class of ’61 for lunch

Fairmont High School class of 1961, spouses and friends will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 4, at the Pizza Ranch buffet restaurant in Fairmont.

City of Lakes Garden Club to meet

City of Lakes Garden Club will meet at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, at the Ingleside Activity Room in Fairmont. The club will plant seeds with residents, followed by the business meeting at 2 p.m. in the Ingleside Conference Room. Spice Club to meet at W’bago library

Spice Club will meet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 4, at the Muir Library in Winnebago. Participants will make and take home a dish using the featured spice. Registration is required, and can be completed by contacting the Muir Library at (507) 893-3196.

Cuddle Buddies huddle at Fmt library

Cuddle Buddies will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. The program includes story-time for babies, children ages zero to two, and their caregiver(s). For additional information, contact the Martin County Library at (507) 238-4207.

BEA Moms for blood drive

Blue Earth Area Moms will host an American Red Cross blood drive from noon to 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, at The 10 Talents Art Center in Blue Earth. There will be free A1C testing, a soup meal for donors and volunteers and a $15 Amazon gift card reward available. To make a blood donation appointment, visit www.redcrossblood.org.

MLHS Getting to Know You Knight

Martin Luther High School Class of 2029 students, parents, faculty and board will host Getting to Know You Knight for families of new students in grades 7 to 12 at 6 p.m. on Thursday, March 5, at MLHS in Northrop. A light dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Students will provide tours of the school. Families will have a “signing with MLHS” photo opportunity.
