Rock on Ice for a cause

The Fairmont Hockey Association and Fairmont High School Varsity Boys Hockey team will host New Year’s Eve Rock on Ice from 8:30 p.m. to 12:15 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31. Admission is $10. The Hockey Association is rallying around Boys Varsity player Nathan “Nate” Casias and his family this holiday season. Nate’s mother, Leanna, is in Comfort Care/Hospice as she faces her fifth relapse of brain cancer, and the family is experiencing tremendous emotional and financial strain. Fairmont Baby Café support group for pregnant and breastfeeding individuals will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, at the Fairmont Elementary School.

New Year’s Party at Lake Belt

Lake Belt Bar and Grill in Ceylon will have a Best-Ever-Bash New Year’s Eve celebration at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31. Music, food, drinks and hourly drink specials will be available.
