Kiwanis to meet
Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesdays at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speakers of the meeting will be Shelly Larsen, Desta Owens, Leticia Cordova, Juana Perez-Batz and Natalie Flaherty of the Martin County Substance Abuse Prevention/Empower Coalition. The public is invited to attend.
Activities for adults with disabilities
Seasonal activities for adults with disabilities will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. There is no cost to attend. Registration is not required. For additional information, contact the Martin County Library at (507) 238-4207.
IHD Craft and Vendor Show
Interlaken Heritage Days Holiday Craft and Vendor Show will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, at the National Guard Armory in Fairmont. For additional information, contact (507) 235-3917.
SJL Cookie Walk
St. James Lutheran Church’s seventh annual Cookie Walk will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, in the Fellowship Hall at SJL in Northrop. Cookies and candies are available for purchase by the pound. Containers are available, or customers may bring their own. Pre-made gift boxes will be available. Coffee and cider will be served for a free will donation.
Holiday Tour of Homes
Imagine Martin Community Information Hub’s Holiday Tour of Homes will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, at five home locations in Fairmont. This event celebrates creativity, craftsmanship, holiday spirit and showcases how local homeowners transform their spaces into festive works of art. All proceeds will benefit the Red Rock Center for the Arts in Fairmont. Tickets are $25, are sold at Imagine Martin and the Red Rock Center and if purchased before Dec. 10, include a soup and salad luncheon at the Red Rock Center.
Santa to visit Lakeview Methodist
Santa Claus will visit from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, at Lakeview Methodist in Fairmont. Visitors can take photos, eat cookies and drink hot chocolate.
My Town premiere
My Town Series Fairmont episode will premiere at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13 at the Performing Arts Center at the Fairmont High School. Special guest Cory Hepola will join the celebration. The video will stream at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 on YouTube.
