Fairmont Service Club to meet

Fairmont Service Club will meet at noon on Tuesday, Dec. 9, at the Best Western in Fairmont. The speaker will be Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce President Kandi Menne. All are welcome to attend.

Advent midweek service at SOTL

Advent midweek services will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 10, at the Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church, located at 114 East Blue Earth Avenue in Fairmont. The season of Advent celebrates the coming of Christ, first in Bethlehem and his future return in glory. Join us as we look at the Bible songs of Christmas to help us prepare and celebrate the birth of Christ. The song will be “The Song of Zechariah”.

Sterling Pharmacy in Fairmont is collaborating with the Best Christmas Ever organization to bring hope, joy and a fresh start to a local family facing a difficult time this year. Author Meet at Fairmont library

Meet Minnesota author and award-winning crime novelist David Housewright for an author talk and book signing at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. This program was made possible in part with a grant from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund of the Minnesota Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment through the Traverse des Sioux Library System. Red Rock Center presents On the Lash

On the Lash, a Celtic Christmas concert, will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 11, at the Red Rock Center for the Arts in Fairmont. Doors and cash bar open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 at the door.
