Kiwanis to meet
Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speaker of the meeting will be Early Risers Kiwanis President Chaplain Dale Baruth. Dale will be delivering our annual Thanksgiving message to the members present and any guests in attendance. The public is invited to attend.
Game Show Murder Mystery
Game Show Murder Mystery will be from 2 p.m. to approximately 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. This event is for grades 7 and up. Snacks will be provided. Silo ’67 for Friday karaoke
Silo’67 will have karaoke at 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, at the Silo’67 bar and grill. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. For additional information, visit the official ‘Silo 67 Facebook page.
Free testers at Recovery in Motion
Recovery in Motion in Fairmont will offer free-of-charge lifesaving Narcan nasal spray and fentanyl test strips to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 28, at 1100 Indus Street in Fairmont. Without the test strips, visitors can come and learn more about Recovery in Motion and its mission.
CER ChatGPT Training

Join this class from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, in a Zoom meeting to learn everything you need to know about ChatGPT, powered by Artificial Intelligence. You’ll explore practical everyday uses for ChatGPT in both the workforce and at home, ensuring you stay in the loop when ChatGPT is mentioned in conversations and on the news. Thanksgiving notice
In addition to other local businesses, the Sentinel newspaper, located at 64 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont, will be closed and will not publish a newspaper edition on Thursday, Nov. 27, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Subscription renewals and other mail may be placed in the mail chute located beside the front office door.
