American Legion offers dinner
The American Legion Auxiliary will be offering dinner at 4:45 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, at Post 36 in Fairmont. The menu includes barbecue sandwiches, cheesy potato casserole, fried apples, bars, water, coffee and hot chocolate. There is a cost. Come and stay warm during the Glows Parade.
Shepherd of Lakes offers hot cocoa and more
Shepherd of the Lakes Lutheran Church will offer free hot chocolate, cider and cookies from 5:30 to 7:30 on Friday, Nov. 21, at the church in Fairmont. Come in and warm up before, during and after the Glows Parade.
MCW to perform ‘Newsies’
Martin County West (MCW) High School will perform its 2025 fall musical production, “Newsies,” at 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21 and Saturday, Nov. 22, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23, at the Sherburn Theatre. The story follows newspaper salespeople going on strike against the publisher, Joseph Pulitzer, for mistreatment, raising newspaper prices and cutting their earnings, based on a real-life event in 1899 in New York City. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for students and free for children under five.
MCHS Holiday Bake Sale
Martin County Humane Society Bake Sale will have a Holiday Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Ace Hardware/Fleet and Farm Supply in Fairmont. The proceeds will go towards shelter animal expenses. Gluten-free options will be available.
