MLHS Mission Possible Benefit Knight

Martin Luther High School (MLHS) Mission Possible Benefit Knight will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15 at MLHS in Northrop. A delicious catered dinner will be served at 6 p.m. Year 2000 Alumus Tom Traetow will be the guest speaker, sharing stories of his life as he served in the military and how God brought him where he is today. At 7:30 p.m. nationally acclaimed Christian contemporary recording artists Jonny Diaz will perform. His song “More Beautiful You” has charted on American Christian music charts. ​Tickets for dinner and show at 5:30 p.m. are $60. Tickets for Jonny Diaz’ show only, with bleacher seating at 7:30 p.m. are $25.

FOH Painting to Preserve the Legacy

A Painting to the Preserve the Legacy event will be from 2 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 15 at Graffiti Corner café and lounge in Fairmont. This is a community painting project supporting the Fairmont Opera House Capital Campaign! Guided by local artist Caroline Porter, participants will create two four-by-four inch mini artwork – one to take home and one to leave with the Fairmont Opera House. Instructor Caroline Porter will help participants choose their subject and provide step-by-step guides with some of her more popular designs: starry night sky, misty forest, flowers and more. While you paint, enjoy delicious coffee and frozen yogurt for purchase from Graffiti Corner, and browse the silent auction featuring unique items and experiences. Registration is encouraged and includes all materials and a donation to the Fairmont Opera House. Additional contributions are encouraged. SJV to host free meal

St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont will offer a free meal at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 16 at the church. All are welcome to attend.
