Veteran’s Day programs in the area

• Fairmont High School (FHS) will host a Veterans Day program at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the school’s Performing Arts Center, with guest speaker American Legion 2nd District Commander/retired National Guard Command Sergeant Major combat Veteran Tom Behrends.

• Martin County West (MCW) High School in Sherburn will host a Veterans Day program at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 in the gymnasium at MCW.

• Granada-Huntley-East Chain (GHEC) School will host a Veteran’s Day program at 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 in the small gymnasium at GHEC.

• Truman Public Schools (TPS) will host a Veterans Day program at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 in the auditorium at TPS.

• Blue Earth Area High School (BEA) will host a Veterans Day program at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the school.

• Veterans Day Dinner for veterans and spouses will begin with social hour at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at American Legion Post 36. Contact Ken Ringeisen at (507) 236-5743 for reservations. Guests are asked to pay a refundable deposit of $10, which will be refunded at the dinner.

• A Veterans Day supper for Welcome Legion members and their spouses will begin with social hour at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the Welcome Legion Hall.

Play Café brewing at the library

Fairmont Service Club to meet

Red Rock Musical Lunch/Veterans Salute

Veterans Salute and a Musical Lunch featuring Bill Busse, Joyce Schultze and Ann Wehner will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11 at the Red Rock Center for the Arts in Fairmont.
