MLHS to perform play
The Martin Luther High School (MLHS) in Northrop’s drama department will perform the comedy play, “A Good Old Fashioned Big Family Christmas”, directed by Amanda Bergt and Hayley Luther, at 12:30 and 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, and at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the MLHS gymnasium. The plot follows the Stewart family siblings planning a family Christmas dinner to help their parents get along, as the story unfolds of miscommunication and misbehavior. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students. Tickets may be purchased at the door. Refreshments will be served. For additional information, contact MLHS at (507) 436-5249.
East Chain Holiday Market
The ninth-annual East Chain Holiday Market will be 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at the East Chain Activity Center, located at 395 280th Avenue in East Chain. This is a one-stop shop for vendors, crafters, treats, trending items, boutiques and more. For additional vendor information, contact Ashley Haake at ashleyhaake@gmail.com.
Human Rights to sell fudge and caramel
Fairmont Area Human Rights is selling nine varieties of fudge in half-pound boxes or 10 caramels in a box until Nov. 20. The fudge will be available after Dec. 13. To place an order, contact Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017 or contact a Fairmont Area Human Rights member.
The group will also host a fudge tasting sampler from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, at HyVee in Fairmont. People may sample nine flavors of fudge for free, and sign up to purchase the product(s) the group will be selling through Nov. 20. The candy will be available on Saturday, Dec. 13, at The Shepherd of the Lakes Church in Fairmont.
