American Legion to meet

The American Legion Auxiliary Post 36 will meet at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4, at 300 Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. Donations are being collected for the “No Bake” Bake Sale. CER Women, Weight and Hormones

Janice Novak will host a women’s hormones and weight management workshop from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 10 in a Zoom meeting. The class wi discuss which hormones are involved and what can be done to correct imbalances; concrete solutions for controlling appetite and cravings; major sources of hormone mimicking chemicals; and how to get rid of them; what HRT or birth control pills have to do with weight gain; how to have your hormone levels checked reliably; what steps need to be taken to safely break the vicious cycle of hormone related weight gain. Registration is required, costs $29, closes Nov. 6 and can be completed on the CER webstore.
