Kiwanis to meet

Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speaker of the meeting will be James Rabe. Rabe will be spinning a tale of spookiness for the audience. His storytelling style is best described as fun, upbeat, quirky and deeply personal. The public is invited to attend.

Avoid Pitfalls Of Perimenopause/Menopause

A perimenopause/menopause workshop with Janice Novak will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 3, in a Zoom meeting. It starts around the age of 35 for most women and can last 10 to 15 years. Common symptoms include fatigue, migraines, weight gain, water retention, depression, sleep disturbances, joint aches, hot flashes, anger flashes, migraines, fibroids, exaggerated PMS and more. The class will discuss how to get hormone levels measured–blood test vs saliva test and what to do with the results; traditional HRT vs bio-identical; acupressure points to assist in symptom relief and nutritional musts. Students will leave with multiple tools and techniques for restoring health and well-being. Registration is required, costs $29, closes Oct. 30 and can be completed on the CER webstore.
