Rocktober Chilifest

Rocktober Chilifest will kick off at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, at the Fairmont Evangelical Covenant Church, located at 901 Woodland Avenue in Fairmont. Activities include live music, chili cookoff and more.

Fairmont Service Club to meet

The Fairmont Service Club will meet at noon on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Best Western in Fairmont. The speaker of the meeting will be Doolittle Carpet and Paint Owner Ryan Unke.

Play Café brewing at the library

Play Café will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Enjoy playtime that encourages growth and learning for children ages zero to five and their caregivers. Sign Language Basics

The Sign Language Basics class by Donna Johnson will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 28, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. This is a beginner-level ASL session focused on learning basic family and Thanksgiving vocabulary. Registration is not required. There is no cost to attend. Macey Bearson, of Fairmont, graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in August 2025. Bearson graduated with Highest Distinction from the School of Human Ecology with a Bachelor’s in Interior Architecture. Bearson’s major was Interior Architecture.
