Auditions for MCP production

The Martin County Players present auditions for its production of “It’s A Wonderful Life: A Live Radio Play”, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17, and from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 18, at the Martin County Historical Society Pioneer Parsonage House, located at 310 East Blue Earth Avenue in Fairmont. At the audition, individuals will learn about the rehearsals and read one or two sections of the script. Monologues are not required. All are welcome. Acupressure with Janice Novak

Janice Novak will teach an acupressure facial and skin workshop from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22 in a Zoom meeting. Acupressure is an ancient Chinese healing method that works with the energy that flows through your body. Play Café brewing at the library

College News

Abi Peyman, of Fairmont, has been accepted into the Teacher Education Program at Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa. Peyman had to demonstrate effective reflective components in teaching and complete several other requirements to be considered for the program. Admission to the Teacher Education Program allows students to begin professional education courses in their field.
