SJUCC to host dinner
St. John’s United Church of Christ will host dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. on today, Oct. 7 at the church at 301 North Main Street in Fairmont. The menu includes pulled pork, German potato salad, mashed potatoes, green beans, applesauce and pie. For takeout, (507) 235-3500. The suggestion donation is $10.
Kiwanis to meet
Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. Fairmont Early Risers Kiwanis will be recognizing our area pastor for the Pastor Appreciation Breakfast. Corbit Magby, Interim Pastor of East Chain Free Church, will deliver the message. All area pastors are encouraged to attend. Kiwanis will recognize them for your contribution in improving the community. The public is invited to attend.
Silo ’67 for Friday karaoke

Free testers at Recovery in Motion
Recovery in Motion in Fairmont will offer free-of-charge lifesaving Narcan nasal spray and fentanyl test strips to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Fridays at 1100 Indus Street in Fairmont. Without the test strips, visitors can come and learn more about Recovery in Motion and its mission.

FHS Fine Arts HOF
The first Fairmont High School (FHS) Fine Arts Hall of Fame induction will be at 7 p.m. on Oct. 11 at FHS. The five inductees are Cliff Janke, Roxy Janke, Miles Duffey, Bradley Greenwald and Marlys Brummond.
