Ruby’s Pantry in East Chain

Ruby’s Pantry will have a drive-through food distribution from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 27, at the East Chain Evangelical Free Church, located at 507 280th Avenue in rural East Chain. This will be conducted in a drive-procedure and you will not have to get out of your car. You are also asked to clean out the trunk of your vehicle before you come. There are no income or residency guidelines. Ruby’s Pantry is funded by the $25 cash donation per participant for operational costs and they receive an abundance of food. Adult Learn to Skate

Adult Learn to Skate will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Oct. 5, 12, and Nov. 2 and 9 at the Martin County Arena in Fairmont. The Adult Learn to Skate curriculum is designed to promote physical fitness, improve balance and coordination, and teach proper skating techniques in a fun, supportive environment. Whether you’re stepping onto the ice for the first time or returning after years away, this program provides the foundation you need to skate with confidence. Skate rental is included in the class fee. Registration is required, costs $63, closes Sunday, Sept. 28 and can be completed on the CER webstore.
