BEVQ to meet
Blue Earth Valley Quilters will meet on Monday, Sept. 22 for a special event. From 6 to 8 pm, Mrs. T’s Mobil Mercantile will be parked in the northwest corner of the Blue Earth Area High School parking lot, which is located just south of Interstate 90 in Blue Earth. Tanya Harrison is from Vincent, Iowa, she will take a portion of her store on the road for our shopping pleasure. She will also tell us about her brick and mortar store. Everyone is invited to this event at no cost. This is in conjunction with the BEVQ meeting, which will be from 7 to 8 p.m.. Bring items for show and tell. The challenge quilts that have been hanging at CCF Bank will be there for you to take home.
Fairmont Service Club to meet
The Fairmont Service Club will have its weekly meeting at noon on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at the Best Western in Fairmont. The featured speaker will be Options Pregnancy Center Executive Director Joseph Wilmer. Guests are always welcome. For additional information, contact Marlys Rogers.

American Sign Language Basics
American Sign Language Basics by Donna Johnson will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23 at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. This is a beginner-level ASL session focused on learning basic Fall and Halloween vocabulary. It’s free, open to all ages, and no registration is required. UCC to host community meal
First Congregational United Church of Christ Christian Education Board will host a free spaghetti Community Meal at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24. All are welcome.
Class of 1970 to reunite for lunch
The Fairmont High School Class of 1970 will meet for lunch at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 24, in the upstairs dining room at Jake’s Pizza restaurant in Fairmont.
CREST hosts Carlson Pillow Cleaning
CREST will host the Carlson Pillow Cleaning Service from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25 at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Fairmont. Pillows will be fluffed, cleaned, deodorized, and sanitized while you wait or you may come back to pick them up later in the day. You will receive new ticking for your pillows and they will be made cleaner than new for little more than the cost of the pillow. Custom made new pillows and down comforters will be available for sale as well. All proceeds from this event will go to benefit CREST as they strive to enhance the quality of life for those they serve in Martin County. For additional information, contact (507) 235-3833.
FHS Soccer Tailgate
The 2025 Fairmont High School Girls’ Soccer Tailgate, hosted by the Fairmont Soccer Association, will be at 5 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25. Porkchops on a stick, chips, water and a cookie will be served for $8. The soccer teams will compete against Worthington at 5 p.m. for JV/C-Squad and at 7 p.m. for varsity.
