CER Canva for beginners

A Canva workshop will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25 in a Zoom meeting. This class will teach you how to harness the power of Canva, the easiest design website available, all for free. You’ll learn to create stunning designs from scratch or use templates with step-by-step guidance for any digital image you need. Whether it’s online documents, business cards, email signatures, or more, you’ll leave this class with the confidence and skills to use Canva effectively and creatively. CER Floral and Ink Mason Jar

Join Watercolor Artist Caroline Porter and make an autumn mason jar floral and ink artwork from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23 in the Community Room at the Southern Minnesota Education Campus in Fairmont. Students will learn a variety of skills including watercolor layering, how to paint glass, ink drawing techniques, various flower designs, and more. This 8-by-10 inch artwork is perfect for beginners and intermediate. Students will get to pick what flowers and colors to incorporate in their piece after being shown several techniques for flowers. To help students gain confidence, everyone will practice on scrap paper before working on their final artwork.
