Paid Leave Seminar

Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce and Martin County Economic Development Authority will host a Paid Leave Seminar from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at Best Western in Fairmont. Get a clear overview of Minnesota Paid Leave, including eligibility, types of leave, benefits, tax implications, and employer responsibilities. Guidance will be provided regarding handbook updates, impact on policies, payroll compliance and reporting, employee morale, key decisions before Jan. 1 and first steps when an employee uses Paid Leave. Wednesday Night Supper in Huntley

Community Covenant Church in Huntley will host a Fall Kick-off Wednesday Night Supper at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at the church. The menu includes burgers, hot dogs, sides, assorted salads and desserts. Activities include horse and buggy rides.
