Ambiance on Albion bar and grill in Fairmont will have its weekly Prime Rib Dinner Special from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 30.

K-5 Fairmont Lacrosse Clinic

Fairmont Lacrosse Clinic for children in grades kindergarten to 5 will be from 4 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Sept. 9, 11, 16, and 18, at the Fairmont Soccer Complex. Lacrosse is a fun and exciting sport that combines skills learned in hockey, soccer, football and basketball. It is known as “the fastest game on two feet”. This will be a fun introduction to the sport, focusing on fundamentals and basic skills. No pads necessary and sticks will be provided. Fee: $30. Baton-Twirl with the FHS Twirlers

This baton twirling class with Fairmont High School (FHS) baton twirlers will be from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 9, and Thursday, Sept. 11, in the Five Lakes Gym at Fairmont Elementary School. This course is for those who have participated in previous baton classes. Participants will learn the baton routines for the parade and the school theme song; they will then perform during the FHS football half-time show on date TBD.
