Kiwanis to meet
Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speaker of the meeting will be Jake Reuter of Sterling Pharmacy. Reuter will be informing the members present about the recent activities at the Sterling Pharmacy fulfillment center. The public is invited to attend.
Silo ’67 for Friday karaoke

Free testers at Recovery in Motion
Recovery in Motion in Fairmont will offer free-of-charge lifesaving Narcan nasal spray and fentanyl test strips to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, at 1100 Indus Street in Fairmont. Without the test strips, visitors can come and learn more about Recovery in Motion and its mission.
August activities for disabled adults
August activities for adults with disabilities will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. This inclusive program offers a fun and welcoming environment where participants can engage in hands-on activities tailored to the season. All supplies will be provided, and caregivers are welcome to attend. There is no cost to attend, and registration is not required. FHS Class of ’70 to reunite
The Fairmont High School Class of 1970 will have a 55-year reunion beginning with an Icebreaker at 7 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1 at Hands Park. Snacks are available. Bring your own beverage. Activities will be all-day on Saturday, Aug. 2, including a pontoon ride at 10 a.m. at the Chain of Lakes Yacht Club, Chubb House tour at 2 p.m., Martin County Historical Society Pioneer Museum tour at 2 p.m., Model Railroad Display tour at 2 p.m. at 1520 Meadowlark Lane, and dinner at 4 p.m. from The Cup Truck food truck at the Chain Lakes Yacht Club. Water and soda will be available. Bringing your own beverage is welcome.
