Bean bag get-together
Community bean bag games will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday nights at Gomsrud Park in Fairmont. Any individual of any skill level is welcome. Bring boards, bags and a lawn chair if you have them. For additional information, contact Jim at (507) 235-2414.

Learn Sign Language Basics at the Fairmont Library
Sign Language Basics will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Led by presenter Donna Johnson, this beginner-level class will focus on the ASL alphabet and everyday vocabulary. The Fairmont Farmers’ Market will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 26, and from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29, at the Five Lakes Centre parking area.
CER night-time Laser Tag
Night-time Laser Tag for youth entering grades 3 to 6 will be from 8 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4, to Friday, Aug. 8, at the Southern Minnesota Educational Campus in Fairmont. There will be three floors of hiding places, dark classrooms, elevators, creaky stairs and plenty of space to sneak up on your opponents. We will have team matches, individual battle royales, and all-out Laser Tag fun. Registration is required, costs $25, closes July 29 and can be completed on the CER webstore. CER Summer Art-Floral Frames
Summer Art for students entering grades 3 to 7 will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5, and Wednesday, Aug. 6, at the Art Room (Room 160) at the Fairmont Elementary School. Young artists will use rich, tempura and acrylic paints to create floral artwork that’s ready to be framed. Students will explore texture, color blending, and unique brush techniques to bring their flower paintings to life, creating a masterpiece they’ll display at home.
