Church on the Lawn

Church on the Lawn will be at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, July 27, at East Chain Evangelical Free Church, located three miles east of East Chain. The speaker will be Pastor Terry Francis from Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge. The service includes live band worship, Bible teaching and kids’ programs. Before the service, donuts and coffee will be served at 10 a.m. Bring a lawn chair and a friend. The public is welcome. In case of inclement weather, they will meet inside the church. Silent Disco at Fairmont Library

A Silent Disco Party will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 28, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Guests can celebrate the party by listening to the same music with wireless headphones. The Fairmont Women of Today will have a general meeting at 6 p.m. on Monday, July 28, at the turquoise table at Bird Park in Fairmont.

Brenna Heifner and Joshua Mahin of Dunnell received the Alumni Dependent scholarship, Luke Curtis of Sherburn received the Clyde and Grace Sanborn scholarship, Harley Geistfeld of Truman received the Presidential scholarship and Melia Menth of Truman received the HG Albee Business Administration/Management scholarship from Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, Iowa.

Lillian Higgins of Fairmont graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in La Crosse, Wis. Higgins received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology.
