Blue Earth summer musical

Blue Earth Town and Country Players will present their summer musical, “All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten,” at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, July 17 and 18, at 7:30 p.m., and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 20 at the Performing Arts Center at Blue Earth Area High School. Admission is $15. Tickets will be sold 30 minutes before the shows at the door.

Author presentation at museum

Author Kevin Callahan will have a presentation about his book “Brothers in Arms” which details nearly 250 sets of brothers who fought in WWII and were later buried next to one another, including the Style brothers of Fairmont at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 19th at the Pioneer Museum in Fairmont.

SJV to serve July meal

St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Fairmont will serve a free July meal at 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 20. All are invited to join. Contact (507) 235-2451 by July 18 for meal delivery.

Mini Monday at the Fairmont library

Come for stories and playtime during Mini Monday at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 21 at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Mini Monday is for children ages birth to five and an adult caregiver. There is no cost to attend this program, and pre-registration is not required. For additional information, contact the Martin County Library in Fairmont at (507) 238-4207.

Ruby’s Pantry distribution

Ruby’s Pantry drive-through grocery distribution will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Monday, July 21 at 2 Crossroads Drive in Sherburn. The cost is $25 cash per bundle. We have pre-pay is available on www.rubyspantry.org until 1 p.m. the day before the distribution or until our quota is filled. There are no income or residential guidelines. There will be a partial list posted on the Facebook. Donate empty boxes if possible. Visitors are asked to make room in their car for the food bundles.

Navigating Meta websites

Nickie Welsh will teach a Meta Business workshop from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22 in a Zoom meeting. Students will learn how to streamline your posting process, schedule content, and leverage insights to boost engagement on both platforms. this class will equip you practical tips and strategies to enhance your online impact. By the end of the session, you’ll feel confident navigating Meta Business Suite and ready to make your posts truly shine! Registration is required, costs $25, closes July 18 and can be completed on the CER webstore.

Technology safety toolbox

Nickie Welsh will teach a technology safety workshop for parents from noon to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 24 in a Zoom meeting. This practical training class is designed to equip busy parents with essential tools and knowledge to keep their little ones safe in an increasingly connected world. Students will gain practical tips and strategies for managing technology use, protecting privacy and fostering a safe digital environment for young children. Registration is required, costs $25, closes July 20 and can be completed on the CER webstore.

Church on the Lawn

Church on the Lawn will be at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 20, at the East Chain Evangelical Free Church. The service includes live band worship, Bible teaching and kids’

Sabrina Segar and Parker Vetter have been named to the Spring 2025 Dean’s List at the University of Minnesota in Duluth. Segar studies Biology and Vetter studies Computer Science.
