Hospital employees/retirees to meet

Fairmont Community Hospital retirees and employees will gather for lunch at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 14, at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. If you have supplies, equipment, books and games, Bravo Zulu House will accept them. All employees and retirees are asked and encouraged to attend. Wednesday coffee at the Chubb House

The historic Chubb House in Fairmont is open from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, July 16 for coffee and more. Stop in to learn more about the first and only brick home in Martin County, and the man who built it in 1867 for his family, Dr. Orville P. Chubb. Get acquainted with Fairmont’s rich history and the volunteers who have worked hard to preserve this building. R.A.D. Zoo in Martin County

R.A.D. Reptiles and Amphibians Zoo will be at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on July 16 at the Martin County Library and Truman City Library, and 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on July 17 at Triumph Hall in Trimont and the Sherburn Theater.

Wednesday Worship at the Park

Grace Lutheran Church will host Wednesday Community Worship at the Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, at the Sylvania Park Bandshell. Rain or shine. Messages each week from a variety of local pastors and community members. All are welcome.

Watergun paintings at RRC

The Red Rock Center for the Arts (RRC) in Fairmont will host outdoor water gun paintings for children in grades 1 to 6 from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, at the RRC. Books and Brews

Books and Brews morning edition will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 17, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. This month, library staff will spotlight the 600s section of nonfiction covering topics like medicine and health, home decor, cookbooks, parenting and more. K-4 fun at Fairmont library

Art Mart in downtown Fairmont

The Imagine Martin Art Mart will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, July 17, at West 1st Street and Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. The Art Mart will be held every other Thursday until September. For additional information about the event, contact info@imaginemartin.com.

All-skill Thursday tennis
