Wednesday coffee at the Chubb House
The historic Chubb House in Fairmont is open from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday (date) for coffee and more. Stop in to learn more about the first and only brick home in Martin County, and the man who built it in 1867 for his family, Dr. Orville P. Chubb. Get acquainted with Fairmont’s rich history and the volunteers who have worked hard to preserve this building. Fairmont Area HRO to meet
The Fairmont Area Human Rights Organization of Martin County will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 10, at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Fairmont. Following the guidelines from the nationally respected Minnesota Department of Human Rights, the group strives to encourage respect and maintain dignity for all the residents of Martin County. All are welcome to join.
Aktion Club Theatre to rehearse

Wednesday Community Worship at the Park
Grace Lutheran Church will host Wednesday Community Worship at the Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 9, at the Sylvania Park Bandshell. Rain or shine. Messages each week from a variety of local pastors and community members. All are welcome.
All-skill Thursday tennis

Fairmont City Band for final concert
The Fairmont City Band will perform their final concert of the season at 8 p.m. on Tuesday July 8, at the Sylvania Park Band Shell in Fairmont. Rehearsal will be at 6 p.m. and the concert will be at 8 p.m. Cancellation information will be posted on the Facebook page after 5 p.m. on concert night. Intermission entertainment will be provided by Fairmont Area Community Theater. The musical this summer is “All Shook Up”.
Summer Prairie Walk
The City of Fairmont will host the Summer Prairie Walk walking tour series from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, July 10 at Cedar Creek Park in Fairmont. Learn what plants and animals create a thriving prairie ecosystem, prairie management strategies and maintenance schedules, managing drainage and erosion issues, how to create habitat for birds and wildlife and the technical and financial resources available. Attendees will be expected to walk up to one mile. Wear comfortable walking shoes and be prepared to stand for longer periods of time. This is a family-friendly event. Access to a bathroom will be limited. The event is in partnership with the Martin Soil and Water Conservation District.
