American Legion to meet
The Fairmont American Legion Auxiliary Unit 36 will meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1, at 300 Downtown Plaza. All members and any individual interested in the Auxiliary are encouraged to attend. Notice the time change.
Wednesday coffee at the Chubb House
The historic Chubb House in Fairmont is open from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday (date) for coffee and more. Stop in to learn more about the first and only brick home in Martin County, and the man who built it in 1867 for his family, Dr. Orville P. Chubb. Get acquainted with Fairmont’s rich history and the volunteers who have worked hard to preserve this building. City of Lakes Garden Club to meet
City of Lakes Garden Club of Fairmont will meet at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 2, at 229 Woodland Avenue in Fairmont. This is a change from our regular meeting time. The Garden Club meets on the first Wednesday of each month. The host/hostess for the month may choose the location and time for the meeting. The meetings are open to visitors and new members. Come and Go Art Party
A Come and Go Art Party will be from 2 to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. There is no cost to attend. Registration is not required. This event is for all ages. For additional information, contact the Martin County Library in Fairmont at (507) 238-4207.
Wednesday Community Worship at the Park
Grace Lutheran Church will host Wednesday Community Worship at the Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, at the Sylvania Park Bandshell. Rain or shine. Messages each week from a variety of local pastors and community members. All are welcome.
Any-skill Thursday tennis
Individuals of all abilities are welcome to play tennis at 6 p.m. every Thursday at the Fairmont High School tennis courts. No need to RSVP. For additional information, contact Dawn Becker at (507) 236-2192.
