Granada rummage sales continue

Vehicle show in Granada
Granada’s second annual Car-Truck-Tractor-Semi-Motorcycle Show, sponsored by Granada EMS First Responders, will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 28. Registration begins at 3 p.m. at Gene’s Got Gas Station, costs $25 per registered vehicle, and includes two meal tickets to the Granada Fireman’s Hog Roast. Judging ends at 5:45 p.m. and trophies will be awarded at 6:15 p.m.
FHS class of ’60 to reunite
The Fairmont High School Class of 1960, spouses, and friends will meet for lunch at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, at the Pizza Ranch buffet restaurant in Fairmont.
Bean bag get-together
Community bean bag games will be at 6:30 p.m. on Monday nights at Gomsrud Park in Fairmont. Any individual of any skill level is welcome. Bring boards, bags and a lawn chair if you have them. For additional information, contact Jim at (507) 235-2414.
Indoor pickleball

Fairmont City Band to perform later
The Fairmont City Band will perform its fourth concert of the season at 8 p.m. on Friday, July 4, at the Sylvania Park Band Shell. There will be no concert on Tuesday, July 1. This is the Fairmont City Band’s annual patriotic concert. If rain forces cancellation, patriotic music will be performed on Tuesday, July 8. Intermission entertainment will be provided by the UCC Men’s Quartet. Visit the official Facebook page for a cancellation notice after 5 p.m. The Interlaken Heritage Days (IHD) Committee operates the concession stand on concert nights. Proceeds go toward IHD festival activities. The Fairmont City Band is always looking for new members. Second annual Boat Parade
The Fairmont Area Chamber of Commerce’s second annual Boat Parade will be at 11 a.m. (line up by 10:45 a.m. at the Chain of Lakes Yacht Club) on Friday, July 4, through the east shores of Hall, Budd and Sisseton Lakes in Fairmont. Boats must follow the lead boat and maintain a safe distance, display registration number on both sides of the watercraft, watch the wake and follow boating safety rules. There will be no towing of tubes, kayaks or rafts. Awards will be distributed for the most patriotic pontoon, jetski and boat. After the parade, the community can enjoy shopping, dining, exploring local parks and fireworks at dusk. Summer Art Watercolor Bouquets
A summer art class for students in grades 3 to 7 will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 7 and Wednesday, July 9 in the Art Room (Room 160) at the Fairmont Elementary School. Students will create contemporary watercolor bouquets. Using expressive brushstrokes, layering techniques, and playful color mixing, students will create flower compositions full of movement and personality. This class is all about experimenting, having fun, and making art that bursts with color. Registration is required, costs $35, closes July 1 and can be completed on the CER webstore.
