Fairmont Service Club to meet

The Fairmont Service Club will have its weekly meeting at noon on Tuesday, June 24, at the Best Western in Fairmont. Kiwanis to meet

Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 25 at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speaker of the meeting will be Minnesota Valley Action Council Family Resource Coordinator Tammie Hested. The public is invited to attend.

Silo ’67 for Friday karaoke

Silo ’67 will have karaoke at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 20, at the Silo ’67 bar and grill. Food and refreshments will be available for purchase. For additional information, visit the official ‘Silo 67 Facebook page.

Free testers at Recovery in Motion

Recovery in Motion in Fairmont will offer free-of-charge lifesaving Narcan nasal spray and fentanyl test strips the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, June 27 at 1100 Indus Street in Fairmont. Without the test strips, visitors can come and learn more about Recovery in Motion and its mission.

Ruby’s Pantry distribution in East Chain

Ruby’s Pantry will have a food distribution from 10 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 28 at the East Chain Evangelical Free Church. This will be conducted in a drive-through procedure and you will not have to get out of your car. You are also asked to clean out the trunk of your vehicle. There are no income or residency guidelines. Ruby’s Pantry is funded by the $25 cash donation per participant for operational costs and they receive an abundance of food. Veterans Serving Veterans

Veterans Serving Veterans fifth annual free picnic for veterans and their families will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 28 at Gomsrud Park in Fairmont, with Dignitaries, NSA Personnel, American Legion, VFW, and DAV representatives participating. A 102-year-old World War II veteran will also be in attendance and recognized. U.S. Representatative Brad Finstad will award a U.S. Declaration of Congress to U.S. Navy Sailors for the deadliest Navy attack of the Vietnam War at Nsa Da Nang. A flag flown over the US Capital will be presented to Mr. Steve Chase, who went through special ops training with four of the sailors who were lost and one who became a paraplegic that day. Chase will accept this flag on behalf of those honored and he is attempting to have this flag displayed at a national museum for permanent commemoration of the event.

Farmers’ Market this Saturday
