Wednesday coffee at the Chubb House

The historic Chubb House in Fairmont is open from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday (date) for coffee and more. Stop in to learn more about the first and only brick home in Martin County, and the man who built it in 1867 for his family, Dr. Orville P. Chubb. Get acquainted with Fairmont’s rich history and the volunteers who have worked hard to preserve this building. Worship in the Park

Community Worship at the Park by Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont will be at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday at the Sylvania Park Bandshell in Fairmont.

HAAIC annual meeting

The annual meeting of Heritage Acres Agricultural Interpretative Center will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, at the Prairieville Building on Lake Avenue in Fairmont. Tennis at FHS courts

Grade Pre-K to 1 Basketball

I-90 Boys Basketball for entering grades pre-kindergarten to first will be from 1 to 1:45 p.m. on July 14, 15, 16 and 18 in the Little Cardinal Gym at Fairmont Elementary School. Participants will work on the fundamental skills of shooting, dribbling, and passing. They will be introduced to three-on-three and five-on-five basketball. Players should wear gym shoes, socks, t-shirts and shorts for comfort. Shorts included. Registration is required, costs $36, closes June 26, and can be completed on the CER webstore. Grade 2 to 3 Basketball

I-90 Boys Basketball for entering grades two to three will be from 2 to 3 p.m. on July 14, 15, 16 and 18 in the Little Cardinal Gym at Fairmont Elementary School. Participants will work on the fundamental skills of shooting, dribbling, and passing. They will be introduced to three-on-three and five-on-five basketball. Players should wear gym shoes, socks, t-shirts and shorts for comfort. Shorts included. Registration is required, costs $43, closes June 26, and can be completed on the CER webstore. Grade 4 to 6 Basketball

I-90 Boys Basketball for entering grades four to six will be from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. on July 14, 15, 16 and 18 in the Little Cardinal Gym at Fairmont Elementary School. Participants will work on the fundamental skills of shooting, dribbling, and passing. There will be awards for “Mr. Hustle”, “Mr. Hot Shot”, and “Mr. Globetrotter.” Players should wear gym shoes, socks, t-shirts and shorts for comfort. Shorts included.
