Kiwanis to meet
Early Risers Kiwanis of Fairmont will gather for their weekly breakfast at 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 11 at The Ranch restaurant in Fairmont. A meeting at 6:50 a.m. will follow. The speaker of the meeting will be Mark Gaalswyk of Easy NanoVoid Technology. Mark will be informing the members present about a locally developed technology that can clear algae from lakes. This technology uses minuscule bubbles to clean water without chemicals or filters. The public is invited to attend.
Aktion Club Theatre to rehearse
Aktion Club Theatre, a part of Kiwanis International, will meet from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 12 and June 26 at Grace Lutheran Church in Fairmont. For questions about the group, contact Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017.
HRO to meet
The Fairmont Area Human Rights Organization of Martin County will meet at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 12, at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church in Fairmont. The group strives to encourage respect and maintain dignity for all the residencies of Martin County. All are welcome.
Silo ’67 for Friday karaoke
Silo ’67 will have karaoke at 9 p.m. on Friday, June 13, at the Silo ’67 bar and grill in Fairmont.
UCC Breakfast on the Lawn
First Congregational UCC in Fairmont will have a Breakfast on the Lawn Fundraiser from 8 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 14. Biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, eggs, coffee, orange juice, apple juice, and water will be available for purchase.
UCC Pie and Ice Cream Social
First Congregational UCC in Fairmont will have a Pie & Ice Cream Social (and BBQs) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 14. A variety of homemade pies will be served. Prices are $5 for a slice of pie and ice cream and $5 for BBQ and chips.
Chubb House root beer floats
Volunteers of the Historic Chubb House will serve root beer floats from 4 to 6 p.m on Saturday, June 14 at the Chubb House. Ice cold bottled water will also be available. The Chubb House will also be open for Guided House Tours. A free will donation will be taken to help with ongoing updates.
Garden Club for garden party
The City of Lakes Garden Club will have a free Garden Party and Plant Swap from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 14 at Lincoln Park in Fairmont.
