Boy Scouts benefit breakfast
The Cedar Point Boy Scout Camp will have a benefit breakfast from 9 t0 11 a.m. on Sunday, June 8 at the Knights of Columbus hall in Fairmont. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, milk, juice and coffee. A free-will donation will be accepted. Proceeds will support Cedar Point Boy Scouts Camp. The event is sponsored by the Knights of Columbus.
Church on the Lawn
Church on the Lawn will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 8, at East Chain Evangelical Free Church. The speaker will be Pastor Alex Andrews. The service includes live band worship, Bible teaching and wonderful kids’ programs. Prior to the service, donuts and coffee will be served at 10 a.m. Bring your lawn chair and a friend. Master Gardeners at the library
A Master Gardeners presentation about native and pollinator gardens will be at 6 p.m. on Monday, June 9 at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. This event is hosted by the U of M Extension Master Gardeners. No registration is required, and this event is free. Mini Monday at the library
Come for stories and playtime during Mini Monday at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 9 at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Mini Monday is for children ages birth to five and an adult caregiver. Movie Monday at the Library
Movie Monday will be at 1 p.m. on Monday, June 9, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. The library will show “Send Me No Flowers.” Popcorn and water will be served. For additional information, contact the Martin County Library at (507) 238-4207.
CREST Lunch and Learn
The next CREST Lunch and Learn will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 9 at the CREST office in Fairmont. This month’s program will be a time of playing games and enjoying fellowship. A lunch of lasagna, lettuce salad, garlic bread, and watermelon will be served following the program. Topics and menu are subject to change. If you are interested in attending this event, RSVP to the CREST office at (507) 235-3833. This activity is open to all seniors in Martin County, and a free-will donation is always welcome.
Summer Symphony
The summer symphony is open to all Martin County residents aged eighth grade to adult. Strings, brass, percussion and woodwind instruments are welcome. If you don’t have an instrument and would like to join us, we have instruments available. Pre-registration is requested to facilitate materials. Rehearsal is on June 9, 12, 16, 23, 26, 30, July 7, 10, 14 in Room 158 of the Fairmont Elementary School. The performance will be on July 17.
