MLHS Graduation

The 40th Baccalaureate and Commencement Service for the Martin Luther High School (MLHS) Class of 2025 will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 25, at the school. Class Salutatorian is Harley Geistfeld. Class Valedictorian is Mary Bennett. The commencement address will be given by Principal David Stuckwisch. The Martin Luther Volunteer Award will be presented. Bridal shower for Kristin Noller

A come-and-go bridal shower for Kristin Noller, bride-to-be of Mason Koeritz, will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 24, at St. James Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall in Northrop. The couple is registered at Target and Amazon.

College News

Tabitha Thatcher of Fairmont was among 270 graduates to receive a Bachelor’s degree at Northwestern College during commencement ceremonies on Saturday, May 10. Thatcher graduated with a major in social enterprise.

Mackenzie Marie Carlson of Fairmont was among 3,591 graduates who received degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during commencement exercises May 3, 17 and 18.

Carlson earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice with high distinction from the UNO College of Public Affairs and Community Service.

Monica Sands of Trimont and Ethan Johnson of Blue Earth have been named to the Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU) Spring 2025 President’s List.

Dalitzy Acosta of Ormsby and Joseph Forsberg of Dunnell have been named to the University of Jamestown Spring 2025 Dean’s List.
