Fairmont Service Club to meet

The Fairmont Service Club will have its weekly meeting at noon on Tuesday, May 20, at the Best Western in Fairmont. The featured speaker will be Mayor of Ceylon Judith Perkins. Guests are always welcome. For additional information, contact Gary Schaub at (507) 236-6701.

Wednesday coffee at the Chubb House

The historic Chubb House in Fairmont is open from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, May 21, for coffee and more. Stop in to learn more about the first and only brick home in Martin County, and the man who built it in 1867 for his family, Dr. Orville P. Chubb. Get acquainted with Fairmont’s rich history and the volunteers who have worked hard to preserve this building. Heritage Acres for May meeting

Heritage Acres will meet at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, at the Prairieville building on Lake Avenue. Following a light dinner, reports will be given by the secretary, treasurer and nominating committee. New leaders will be elected at the annual meeting in June. Jerry Simon will lead discussions regarding upcoming events celebrating the 50th anniversary. All members and the public are welcome to attend.

Art Mart in downtown Fairmont

The Imagine Martin Art Mart will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, at West 1st Street and Downtown Plaza in Fairmont. The Art Mart will be held every other Thursday until September. For additional information about the event, contact info@imaginemartin.com.

Dalitzy Acosta of Ormsby and Joseph Forsberg of Dunnell have been named to the University of Jamestown’s Spring 2025 Dean’s List. Students are named to the list for earning a 3.5 GPA while taking at least 12 credit hours for the semester.
