Grade 5 to 12 Band Concert

The Fairmont Grade 5 to 12 Band Concert will be at 7 p.m. on Monday, May 12, at the Performing Arts Center at Fairmont High School. The band is directed by Kate Kallenbach and Kim Toothaker.

Wednesday coffee at the Chubb House

The historic Chubb House in Fairmont is open from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays for coffee and more. Stop in to learn more about the first and only brick home in Martin County, and the man who built it in 1867 for his family, Dr. Orville P. Chubb. Get acquainted with Fairmont’s rich history and the volunteers who have worked hard to preserve this building. Books and Brews at the library

Books and Brews: Morning Edition will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 15, at the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Bring coffee. Library staff will highlight the 400s and 500s of the non-fiction section. For additional information, contact the Martin County Library in Fairmont at (507) 238-4207.

Book trivia at FBC

Book Trivia will be at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, at the Fairmont Brewing Company, hosted by the Martin County Library in Fairmont. Work solo or in pairs. Grade 7 to 12 Choir Concert

The Fairmont Grade 7 to 12 Choir Concert will be at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 15, at the Performing Arts Center at Fairmont High School. The choir is directed by Molly Bleess.

Million Millimeter Mini Marathon

The third annual Unified Cardinals Million Millimeter Mini Marathon for Inclusion will be on 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, at Fairmont High School. There will be food, music, and the Mini Marathon (one million millimeters is one km, or a little over two laps around the track). It will be an untimed, walk/stroll/fun run, so everyone can join. All participants will receive a meal (pork chop on a stick, chips, watermelon, cookie, and water) and a Million Millimeter Mini Marathon t-shirt.
